The proposal asks management to disclose to shareowners the company's scientific and economic rationale underlying GE's lobbying the government for global warming regulations.

Why?

GE is lobbying for government regulations that will raise energy costs and reduce energy availability. If successful government action will harm both GE shareholders and the economy.
